Here's some information about "Stand Strong"

This is a Christian film about a man named Matt Webster and his family. They are Christian, are believers in Christ, and attend church sporadically. They have a huge disconnect in what they know and what they do, as they very minimally apply their faith to their everyday lives. They are obsessed with having a lot and looking good. They have a big house, nice cars, lots of toys and have set their hearts on them. The members of the family are so involved in their own interests and desires that they are largely disconnected from each other and lack unity in their home. Their pride has kept them from truly knowing Christ and living his teachings. Through a series of financial and family crises, they are humbled and are ready to seek Christ and learn and apply his teachings in their own lives, in their relationships with extended family and friends, and in their community.

August 2008 Blog of the Month: Mike Rogers

I'm always amazed to see how God has been leading us as a band. There have been numerous times when we've all sat down and started to map out a plan on where we think we need to be heading. We'll lay it out and pray about it then start moving in that direction. Then God always puts something in our path and it's like He's saying "OK guys, you were heading this way but now you need to head this other direction instead." I really love when He throws these little so called "monkey wrenches" in our plans. To me it just shows that He is actively involved in our lives and has a master plan in the works. As a band we'll continue to adapt to the Lord's leading and push on in any new direction He has for us.

Hello 3 In The Same family and friends,

Mike Soto here, I wanted to take a second to chat about something I was thinking about. When you wake up in the Morning what is the first thing that pops in your mind? Is it the trials you’re going through or is it how tired you are and you really don't feel like going to work or school today? Ask your self how often you think about your blessings first thing in the morning.

I know for me there are times I'm so caught up in my days that I forget to praise God for those days and everything that has come along with them. There are so many things that God is blessing us with but we move so fast through life that we forget to take the time to really look around us and appreciate the blessings. I challenge all of you and myself to thank the Lord for all his blessings tonight before you lay to rest and to take the time once you wake up to think of and praise the Lord for all the blessings you have already been given. Smile and say thank you Jesus. May all of you be blessed and remember to spread his good news any chance you get. God Bless.

Hi All,

Well its me Big Tom blogging again. The past 3 months have been a real roller coaster of peaks and valleys. But thorough it all once again I have come out victorious thanks to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

It says in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

If you yield your life to Christ it is amazing what he will do with it.

Things with 3 in the Same are moving faster and we are all excited about it. We are working with a new drummer now and starting to books shows. We are all still amazed at what God is doing in our lives with the music and lyrics.

Well that's it for now and remember to stay focused on the Great I Am.

What’s up everybody?

Time has flown by quickly. Half of 2008 is already done with!

God has been as good to us as a band as he has been good to me in my personal life. Reflecting back at the fist part of the year and seeing where’s he’s taking me is simply awesome.

Recently I’ve been going through times where I needed him to provide for me when I thought it couldn’t be done. This is when we can trust that God will meet our needs, or we can waste time worrying about how we ourselves can get those needs meet.

As I was reading his word, I came across a verse that couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s from Matthew 6:25-27 (NIV) and it says: (25) Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? (26) Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (27) Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

This verse is just what I needed at the right time.

If you’re going through tough times where you don’t know how your needs will be met, know that if we keep our faith in him, he will be there to provide for our needs.

As I sit here and write this blog I just can't stop praising the Lord for what he has done in my Life. My wife has been really sick lately and had to be put on temporary disability (possibly permanent). It has been hard financially, emotionally and physically for my family.

But even while we are in the midst of this valley, our Lord and Savior has given us Joy. He has provided financially for us and has blessed us with support through our friends and family. We have not felt abandoned by our Lord in this trial; if anything we have grown closer to him. We know that even though we are not out of the woods with this current situation, there will be a time that we will be. We have truly found joy in the time of uncertainty and suffering. We know that this is a time of growth for us and a time to see God's glory unfold. I have to get going but I will blog at you another time and just remember to KEEP THE FAITH.

Hey All,

It's Mike here, the man behind the bass!

I was thinking to myself how much the word CHANGE has been involved with 3 In The Same. Lately, this word CHANGE has been involved with 3 In The Same in more ways than one. Whenever we decide to write a song, no matter how far we get into writing, there is always a possibility it will be CHANGED. Sometimes it's a little or sometimes it's a whole rework of the song. Either way, the song ends up being better after the CHANGE has taken place.

This word CHANGE has also affected us when we create our band's to do list. This list includes such items as projects we will work on next, and what purchases the band will need to make. The order in which things are done on this list can CHANGE often and we always know no matter the CHANGE, it is for the best of the band.

The biggest CHANGE 3 In The Same has faced recently is the addition of a new drummer. The great thing about this CHANGE is that it will allow 3 In The Same to grow in ways we could only imagine. In life there are many CHANGES that come your way and as long as you draw close to your Lord Jesus Christ the winds of CHANGE will end up blowing in your favor. Also, never forget that the one thing that will never CHANGE is our ever loving God the Father.

It's time for the blog to come to an end so I wish God's Blessings on all your CHANGES to come.

May 2008 Blog of the Month: Mike Rogers

Have you ever just been totally blown away by the goodness of God?

When I stop to think about all of the prayers that He has answered through the years I can't help but give thanks and praise Him. One of the very specific prayers I remember having from years ago was that the Lord would bring some godly men into my life that I could form a close friendship with. God has answered this prayer for me in a very big way with 3 In The Same. Not only are we all really good friends but more importantly we're a family. Making music that glorifies God is a great joy. I can't think of a better group of guys to do it with!

God knows the desires of our hearts. If there is something that you have been praying about for a long time continue to seek him and remember, be patient! There's our timing and then there's God's timing, which is perfect. Hang in there and persevere!

April 2008 Blog of the Month: Tom Nickel

Hello Everyone,

Looking back at the month of March, it has gone by in a flash for us. More songs were completed plus, as a whole, we have grown stronger as a band and as 5 men who seek and love the Lord with all our hearts.

We went to the Todd Agnew concert in San Jose, Ca. That was a very powerful night. After the concert, we passed out over 200 of our demo CD's. If you are reading this and you received a c.d. after the concert, I pray that it was a blessing to you. It is a great feeling to give someone a CD that was created by our Father and we were used to play the music.

This whole process of waiting on the Lord and doing His will is an experience I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Well, got to run now but I will be writing another blog soon.

Wow...how time goes by quickly. Just yesterday it seemed like it just turned 2008 and now we've already in April!

Last month was a cool month for us. We were able to pass out a bunch of CDs out at the Todd Agnew and two Jaci Velasquez / Salvador concerts. I had fun at all the concerts and thanks to Jesse for helping me pass out CDs, you're the best!

Just wanted to also let everybody know that 3 In The Same is more than just a band, we're a ministry that is spreading the word of God. Know that we care for you all and if anybody out there is in need of prayer, don't be afraid to ask us. That's what we're here for.

Well...gots to go, but we will keep all you guys updated on what's going on with us!

Well...I was thinking of our practice the other night. We are currently finishing up a new song and we were stuck at one part for almost 3 hours. However, the writing process for this song has been very smooth.

I love writing new songs, they're all separate journeys that the band takes together. Sometimes a song will be almost completely written in one night and other songs will take quite a few drastic changes & even start overs before it's through. You have to dig that dirt to get to the gold. But it's all worth it in the end.
